The Exhibition!

Exhibition poster
Well, things have been rather busy, what with the Worthing Open Houses and our very own exhibition!

It's the first time that I have been involved in an exhibition that wasn't totally organised by someone else (e.g. College etc).

When we arrived at the gallery on Friday afternoon to set up, it really did seem like an awesome task to get everything ready by the private view at 6pm.

Some of Naomi Frances' and Fiona Blair's prints
The artists involved were:

Marie Vickers
Naomi Frances
Fiona Blair
Paul Woolford
Vicky Ilot
Charlotte Fielding

And another one...

But we did it, and it was great to do!  Unfortunately, the general 'foot fall' in to the gallery was massively hindered at the weekend due to (a) the God-awful weather and (b) Andy Murray getting in to the Wimbledon final.  I LOVE Wimbledon and have waited for this event for YEARS but I had to MISS it!!

Versatile Blogger Award!

Feeling very happy today, the lovely Fiona from Inky Prints (www.inkyprintsintheattic.blogspot.co.uk) has nominated me for a Versatile Blogger Award!

Ta-dahh!
There are some rules though...

The Rules

1. Add the award to your blog.

2. Thank the blogger(s) who gave it to you.

3. Mention 7 random things about yourself.
4. List the rules.
5. Award to 15 bloggers.
6. Inform each of those 15 by leaving a comment on their blog.

Blimey - so 7 random things about me -

1)  I used to be able to drink a bottle of beer whilst holding it with my foot (!)

2)  I can play the theme tune to The Good, The Bad and The Ugly by blowing in to my hands

3)  People who park in Family parking spaces at supermarkets (and don't have any children with them)                make me soooo mad!

4)  I love Doris Day.  Fact.

5)  Chocolate fudge cake with whipped cream is my favourite comfort food.

6)  I have a scar on my right knee from falling off my roller boots aged 12.

7)  My dream is to go to New York one day.

Now off to award to MY favourite top 15 bloggers!

Thanks again, Fiona!

Teresa Down Under's beautiful bag

This patchwork tote was made following a really lovely tutorial that I found online. (Click here)

It's not often I have found tutorials as easy as this one to follow, but I honestly think if I could manage it, anyone could!

To make the bag yourself, you can either use up some of your own fabric squares for the patchwork top (5" x 5") or use a charm pack.

I just used bits of what I had left over from older projects, and an old bit of green curtain I had got from a charity shop!

I loved my finished bag, but maybe you wouldn't want yours to look quite so garish!

My finished bag :)
